A review of 20 years of takaful literature using a systematic method

Purpose The study aims to summarize the 20 years of literature published in takaful between 2000 and 2019 propose some key areas as directions for future research. Design/methodology/approach present utilizes systematic method reviewing literature. SCOPUS database has been accessed, 96 articles have accounted analysis. are grouped their exclusive themes, such consumer behavior, financial nonfinancial performance, models, human resources governance. Findings Takaful research widely covered marketing, finance, resource, governance stresses on its legal issues. Both qualitative quantitative methodologies employed. gaps classified based respective areas. Large share current body consists studies related application behavioural theories examine intention take up services. Originality/value enriches by according thereby contributing significant findings missing from existing surveys.
